Investigate the following issues mentioned in the comment thread of this ticket:
- how to handle the re-named time series (see conversation in DAG-571).
- investigate the base commit missing
Original ticket description:
If you look at this task, the default trend graphs show the results in the correct order, sorted by commit date (or more likely "Order" which does the same thing). If you select the Latency50ThPercentile metric the points are ordered by date the tests were run, which is incorrect. In the linked case more commits were run to isolate the regression, but those new points show up to the right of the change, rather than when the commit went in.
The displayed date when hovering over points in the trend graph is also incorrect, showing the date the test was run, rather than the date of the underlying commit.
