Mongoid 3.x will break badly if no port number is specified in the mongoid.yml file , e.g. after localhost.

Mongoid 2.x used to be more forgiving.

Looks like this would be a common mistake for people to make when they change their config files to Mongoid 3.x

If no port present for any host, the default port should be used.
