I'm building some custom functionality into a class using Mongoid as base. I'm using a few relations but can't rely on referenced/embedded because they don't support what I'm doing. It would be nice if I could still use BSON::ObjectID for document field type, instead of string which is what I'm using now.

I.e. allowing the type BSON::ObjectID would be nice.
