I am seeing a ton of new connections being initiated each second (~30-40) for jobs that are running using Reque. I have read a lot of posts when using sidkiq with mongoid but very little when using resque. Does anyone have experience with this? Would be open to sharing a solution.

I have looked into pooling the connections. Read through this, https://github.com/mongoid/mongoid/issues/2369. Or was thinking of using https://github.com/mperham/connection_pool
