      The latest version of the Node driver on npm is now 2.1.8 instead of 2.1.18. 2.1.8 has connection issues, as discussed in this thread: https://github.com/christkv/mongodb-core/issues/86#issuecomment-196955946

      Can you please change the latest version back to 2.1.18?
