As per WRITING-29655 we're seeing a slowing down of hybrid search stages in a sharded scenario when compared to the verbose query, and even to the stages' performance in a replica set.

Another interesting measurement was the scaling of the stages in a sharded scenario when increasing the document count. There's a spike at around 5 million documents and then it starts to drop down lower than the 500k document count.
