This ticket will require investigating the requirements by users of this API to figure out exactly what information needs to be returned. Currently, the API only returns whether "true" if any component of the path is an array.
We may want to extend the lookup methods to also be able to return:

• The set of prefixes that are arrays along the path. (We could also return the list of indexes of the components that are arrays)
