run_check_shard_filtering_metadata.js uses the DiscoverTopology helper, which may fail with a network related issue. This is a transient issue that doesn't indicate a data inconsistency bug, and so it can be ignored. We do the same thing in the run_check_metadata_consistency.js test hook.
