Some of the correctness test coverage for the Database Tools is in legacy jstest suites that date back to when the tools were developed in the server repository. These tests are very difficult to run locally, are more difficult to debug on evergreen than their pure-go counterparts, and require significant maintenance year-over-year as the server's jstest support code changes with each release. We wish to migrate this legacy jstest coverage to go tests to reduce maintenance burden.
