In a recent support ticket, we found frequent drops in throughput in LogKeeper. This was characterized by an increase in dirty cache content causing some application threads to participate in eviction rather than servicing queries. This effect can be observed in 4.2 and 4.4
As part of our revision of eviction algorithms, we should revisit this and ensure that our improvements show more consistent performance in LogKeeper.
