We have heavily modified reconciliation for durable history. Reconciliation of a page can fail silently for several reasons and cause hard to debug eviction issues. It will be useful to identify some common locations where we can fail (or have failed in the past, or seen bugs in the past) and add fail points to trigger during testing. Follow the test-driven approach and write some tests, or modify existing tests to make sure that the system behaves as expected even when reconciliation fails.
