Write "split" internal doc, to be added to Architecture Guide

The page splitting implementation is described somewhat in code comments, but could use some documentation in the new Architecture Guide. This has purposely been left out of the scope of PM-1529, being deemed important but not urgent.

Specifically, it would be useful to describe the algorithms and protection mechanisms for splitting internal pages while threads may be using that internal page's leaf pages.
