 Description

GCC atomics are not available on all platforms including MIPS, which led to CDRIVER-1456. We apply a patch to use libatomic (which is built into GCC) in Debian, add that patch to the general system as a fallback for atomic ops in libbson when available.

Outside the MIPS machine on the Debian autobuilder network, the current build system has not caused any problems. It's fine to keep the Debian-specific patch for MIPS.
