_mongoc_cursor_new_with_opts() validates options with (BSON_VALIDATE_DOLLAR_KEYS | BSON_VALIDATE_EMPTY_KEYS) (see: here), which presents a problem for the $slice projection operator (and possibly others). This appears to be an issue in 1.5.0-rc1 at least, although that's not available as an "affects version" in JIRA. |
