As reported by a C++ driver user Jeff Abrahamson here, it's an extra step to checkout the latest release from git. It would be more convenient if we have a symbolic branch pointing to the latest release like the C++ driver has. |

And it could make it easier for us to keep the Evergreen tests for the release branch correctly configured. |
