 Description

Odd one this - I get the following error.

2015/01/08 14:03:06.0488: [18646]: WARNING: client: Failed to connect to: ipv4 10.14.0.198:27017, error: 115, Operation now in progress

When trying to connect to MongoDB.

C Client, Already have 1024 open connection, briefly opening another 1024

Plenty of file handles - doesn't happen with MMAP engine (I know that makes no sense)

Knowing it's likely a timeout explains a lot it's not a driver bug it's
another manifestation of a known server one so feel free to close and I
will update the server bug related.

John,

That looks like a timeout in socket_connect() to me. Can you give me a little more information on how you're triggering that bug?

  • version of the C driver you're using
  • OS
  • version of mongod (is it a release tag? Or if master, can you point me at a sha?)
  • Some more information about that code that's generating that error
    • source code that reproduces the error would be fantastic
    • more complete logs and a description of the application would also help
  • Some context on what you're doing that triggers this against wired tiger and not mmapv1. I suspect the server logs might be useful as well

Regards,
Jason
