The error "Failed to read 4 bytes from socket" seems to be the "go to error" when something happens to the socket. It would be nice if the error message could be more userfriendly. |

There's pretty much no way to avoid that network error without awareness of what semantic error is going on above (we need to see the error and understand that it's a result of an x509 auth failure). If you'd like to open a ticket for this particular case (where you'd like to get a less generic error), feel free to open a new ticket. |
