Specifically, async_cmd_t seems to set and use some things that are specific to sending ismasters. For the future it would be cool to have this evolve into a more general-purpose asynchronous command handler. |

Yep, it'd be great to scale some of this out to a more general async framework. I'm wondering if that will actually use this code, or if it'll just replace it though. |
