 Description

I have received a request from a user to open a feature request to be able to configure Compass to visualize date-time fields in configurable timezone.

I strongly agree; we really need this feature, or at least show the dates in the timezone & format of the server.

Hi thecomputerguy.jeff,

Dates are now displayed in UTC: https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/COMPASS-115.
Caveat, embedded dates: https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/COMPASS-3372.

Regards,

Brian

If it is in a converted time, then it should display some indication that it is converted and which time zone it is in. It is very confusing right now that it is in my local time with no indication, I was expecting/assuming that those times would be UTC.

I would imagine that by default it would display in UTC.

Being configurable is very nice too but I really want it in UTC as a priority first before configurability.
