 Description

Compass frequently crashes, in multiple cases: Sometimes it hangs while trying to analyze a query, sometimes after sitting idle the window will disappear, and when I close and reopen Compass I get the same error. Happy to provide any extra detail, thanks!

Closing as a duplicate of COMPASS-3118.

Hi Alex,

This is a known issue.

https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/COMPASS-3118

The workaround is to exit Compass with the menu.

MongoDB Compass:  Quit

If you use the OS window button ("X"), then it leaves background processes running that cause the javascript error on restart.

Regards,

Brian

craig.homa yes, it persists on 1.15.1.  After closing Compass and trying to open it again I always get the same error.  It only works again after I use task manager to end 2 Compass background processes. Those 2 processes persist after Compass is closed, and Compass can't be opened again until they're ended.

Hi alex.cartlidge, can you please upgrade to Compass 1.15.1 and let us know if the issue persists?
