Hi I have just done a fresh install of Ubuntu 18.10. I have tried both latest stable and beta versions, but both fail to start without giving much indication of what is wrong. The only error is: Segmentation fault (core dumped) Any idea how I can find out what's wrong and fix it? Thanks |

digging deeper, turns out Electron apps have quite some problem running on the most recent versions of Ubuntu and Arch (among others). For Ubuntu, adding this PPA repo and installing the updated glibc fixes the issue https://launchpad.net/~maarten-fonville/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/ More details here https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/13972
Leaving this in case someone else like me ends up having problems on Ubuntu 18.10 Also... it doesn't looke like I can mark this ticket completed myself...
