 Description

Hi Team,

I've created a free cloud - cluster through Atlas.

I tried connecting to it through Compass which I couldnt.

However I tried with terminal and it worked.

Command:
mongo "mongodb://cluster0-shard-00-00-y5hhr.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-01-y5hhr.mongodb.net:27017,cluster0-shard-00-02-y5hhr.mongodb.net:27017/test?replicaSet=Cluster0-shard-0" --ssl --authenticationDatabase admin --username user1 --password

Please check the screenshots attached.

Under the assumption there is nothing to do for us here, I am closing this. If my previous comment doesn't help with solving the problem, feel free to reopen.

Hi rohan.patil@wwindia.com, please note that the hostname you are using in Compass (cluster0-y5hhr.mongodb.net) isn't the same you are using to connect with the shell (cluster0-shard-00-00-y5hhr.mongodb.net). It should still work if you toggle the SRV record switch, give that a try.

Should that not work, you can change the hostname to the same one you are using with the shell and also specify a replica set name in the connect screen.
