| Documentation Changes: | Needed | ||||||||||||
| Documentation Changes Summary: | This will affect the connect X509 authentication docs, since it won't be required anymore to add CN=username in Atlas. We can update the wording to mention this field is optional. https://docs.mongodb.com/compass/master/connect |

| Sprint: | Iteration Rambutan | ||||||||||||
| Description |
|
The x509 username field is not relevant since the subject gets extracted automatically from the certificate. Confirm that this is the case for old supported version of servers and then either remove it or make it optional. |
