 Description   

We want to poll our Compass users directly within the app to compute Net Promoter Score (NPS).

We should leverage Intercom for this. Intercom does not directly support polls (yet) but does allow us to reach out to users and share links.

Intercom FAQ: Can I send surveys using Intercom

Acceptance criteria:

  • A way for users to provide an NPS score without leaving Compass app
  • Should be obvious to find, but not annoyingly in the way
  • Should only prompt the user for an NPS which each new release. If they decline to provide an NPS or already give an NPS for a version, dont ask again.
  • Don't ask for NPS immediately, wait until some threshold (num of times opened > 10, or total minutes in the app > 30?)

2. Found an existing react component for collecting NPS in-app:

We can just fork this and make data write to Cube via mongodb-js-metrics instead of only Mixpanel.

Thanks, sam.weaver. Let's start breaking this story down into tasks then and get it prioritized. If we go the delighted route, let's also make sure to include a task for working with procurement. Given the FY is just about to close, we may want to start this conversation with procurement sooner rather than later.

Cloud has been using delighted for NPS.

Perhaps worth touching base with our account manager at Intercom to see if they support this now.
