 Description

Hi team,

I have a customer who is mentioning the following when running Compass v1.30.1:

  • When running Compass on Windows Server 2012 R2 with 1 CPU and 4GB RAM running on VMWare, they are claiming that CPU usage is relatively fine
  • Running Compass on Windows Server 2019 with 1 CPU and 4GB RAM running on VMWare, they are claiming that CPU utilization is reaching 60-70% utilization

I've uploaded their System specifications in the image below.

Has anyone encountered a similar scenario when testing on runningĀ Compass on a Windows Server 2019 OS? Or in particular, running Windows Server 2019 OS on VMWare with 1 CPU and 4GB RAM allocated?

There are no hardware requirements mentioned in the Compass docs and I've already mentioned it to the customer, but they are a bit pushy for answers on why this is so and is not accepting the alternatives of:

  • Running Compass on a different device
  • Using Mongo Shell to access their MongoDB instance on the same Server 2019 OSĀ
