The issue for me on this, is that I think its unclear how to actually enter Dates (or Timestamps now that I think about it) via the CRUD view. Take a look here, there is no date or timestamp drop down in the data type list:
If I save a date via the shell, it renders in the CRUD view ok:
But I have no clear indication of the format that the date or timestamp needs to be entered in for it to be valid (and no way to just say set it to "Now"). Is it YYYY-MM-DD? Is it MM-DD-YY? Is it DD-MM-YY? 1 suggestion might be to add Date and Timestamp to the datatype drop down. When the user selects them, the CRUD modal gives users a placeholder string in the desired format (perhaps defaulting to right now). cc fred.truman sean.oh Ref COMPASS-488. |
