Can't able to connect to mongodb atlas with my system

Please be sure to attach relevant logs with any sensitive data redacted.

Steps to Reproduce

Just try to connect with through mongodb compass and with my node.js code

Expected Results

DB should be connected

This is likely a DNS issue with your mobile hotspot. You can try and connect with a non-srv URI. To get one you can use the node.js npm package resolve-mongodb-srv:

npx resolve-mongodb-srv mongodb+srv://dashboards.tniih.mongodb.net
mongodb://dashboards-lb.tniih.mongodb.net/?authSource=admin&loadBalanced=true&tls=true

This requires node.js to be installed and it assumes that you can resolve these dns records at least once.

That URI I used in the example above is also going to need your username and password, btw.

Alternatively I suppose you can try configuring your network settings to use a different DNS server.

Hi Le Roux,

   Getting this error (95 out of 100 times) whenever I connect the laptop with my mobile hotspot. with a different mobile or Wi-Fi networks it's working fine.
