Please be informed by last update 1.38.2 problem has been solved. But please be sure this will not repeated as it was seen in 1.36.2, solved in 1.36.3 and repeated in 1.36.4

FYI after update, I can see old history, this means history is collected but not presented .

Hi maurizio.casimirri@mongodb.com nikolay.tikunov@gmail.com I see with 1.38.2 it's finally fixed for me.

At last, I can now use it back without this frustration

Hi maurizio.casimirri@mongodb.com

I did (as well as another user experiencing the issue) provide it on the original ticket: https://jira.mongodb.org/browse/COMPASS-6790

Let me know if you need anything else

Please find attached log file from the Compass in .gz
Let me know if you need some more.

BTW, I tried to run Compass as Administrator, no changes.

To provide some context, we weren't able to reproduce the issue as it seems to happen only in some cases. We will take a second look shortly and prioritise a fix. It would help a lot if you could provide us with a log file of a session where the issue is happening. Thanks!

Dear Alena,

can you please increase this issue priority?

Comment by Michael Lumbroso [ 13/Jun/23 ]

Still happening on 1.37.0 for me too. Super super frustrating (to say the least). Not sure why the priority is not higher on this one as it really makes the experience so degraded.

Comment by Nikolay Tikunov [ 01/Jun/23 ]

Latiest version 1.37.0
Problem still exist

Comment by Nikolay Tikunov [ 10/May/23 ]

Same issue was fixed by 1.36.3, but unfortunately repeated...

Comment by Nikolay Tikunov [ 10/May/23 ]

I can see my other favorite connections and they are working fine

I can see it also from the Filer -> Favorites

Comment by Alena Khineika [ 10/May/23 ]

Thanks for providing more context! I am curious, are you able to see other saved entities of Compass, for example recent or favorite connections? It looks like Compass can not access your recent queries from the disk.

Comment by Nikolay Tikunov [ 10/May/23 ]

Dear Alena,

During all time I am working with particular collection, it's saving queries list under the filter history. But after click on other collection and back to first, all queries history is disappearing.

Hey nikolay.tikunov@gmail.com, unfortunately, I can not reproduce this. Could you please provide more details:

  • What is the saved query looks like or it fails for any query?
  • Do you see any errors on UI/ logs/ or DevTools if you have access to those?
  • When you run a query do you see all your recent queries listed correctly in the history?
  • Does the query properly return results before you save it to the history?
