 Description

Problem Statement/Rationale

What is going wrong? What action would you like the Engineering team to take?

Please be sure to attach relevant logs with any sensitive data redacted.
How to retrieve logs for: Compass; Shell

Steps to Reproduce

How could an engineer replicate the issue you’re reporting?

I upgraded from 1.36.x to 1.37.0 to Atlas cluster.

Made a typo in the password.

Reattempted to correct the password ("****")

Text was appended on the end of the connection string. I saw my password.

Couldn't click into the **** to correct my text. Had to click the Edit connection string switch to correct it.

Expected Results

What do you expect to happen?

It's ok for the password to be ****, but it would be nice to move the cursor into the field without hitting the "Edit Connection string switch. This behavior seems different from various websites that we log into (non-MongoDB), where the password entry is completely blind unless an eye icon is clicked.

Actual Results

What do you observe is happening?

Additional Notes

Any additional information that may be useful to include.
