| Description |
Problem Statement/RationaleWhat is going wrong? What action would you like the Engineering team to take? Please be sure to attach relevant logs with any sensitive data redacted. "Enable DevTools" is a valid Setting only if "Enable MongoDB Shell" is ON and " Protect Connection String Secrets" is OFF. This is not intuitive because the mention is of Chromium Developer Tools and Electron is mentioned. And there is no reference that "Protect Connection String Secrets" affects "Enable DevTools". Steps to ReproduceHow could an engineer replicate the issue you’re reporting? Compass 1.37.0 Turn on Enable MongoDB Shell and Protect Connection String Secrets. Then try to checkbox Enable DevTools. There is a reference to "another option" without naming the 2 options. Expected ResultsWhat do you expect to happen? Specific instructions on how to turn on "Enable DevTools" in Compass UI. Actual ResultsWhat do you observe is happening? Enable DevTools is grayed out until "Enable MongoDB Shell" is checkboxed and " Protect Connection String Secrets" is not checkboxed. Additional NotesAny additional information that may be useful to include. |
