  • 8384 files are in this directory
  • If opened the same collection in different tab
  • Does the issue persist after restarting your computer? ==> I'm facing this issue before and after restart

adityendra97@gmail.com Thanks, the log file is useful. We'll look into the issue, a few more questions that might help us debug:

  • Which Compass version are you using?
  • About how many files exist in the `/Users/XXYYZZ/Library/Application Support/MongoDB Compass/RecentQueries/` folder?
  • The error we're seeing is `EMFILE: too many open files`. Could it be possible that another application is using all of your possible file descriptors?
  • Does the issue persist after restarting your computer?

Hi adityendra97@gmail.com - thanks for opening the issue. To help us debug the issue can you give us the log file from Compass when this error occurs?
To get the log file: open the "Help" menu -> Click "Open Log File" -> Click "Extract and open as .txt". Then can you share that here? Be sure to retract any sensitive information.

I'm using Mac Compass, When I hit the find button multiple time then the screen getting blank. I attached the screenshot for your reference
