 Description   

Problem Statement/Rationale

When there's an update available and the window pops up prompting us to install it, clicking the "Install" button doesn't actually seem to do anything. After doing this, if you try to go to Help -> Check for Updates, nothing will appear either and you will have to restart for that to come back

Steps to Reproduce

  • Open Compass on a version older than the latest one
  • Wait for the Update window to appear. Alternatively, go to Help -> Check for Updates
  • Click Install
  • Wait a few seconds and see how nothing happens
  • Go to Help -> Check for Updates and notice how nothing happens after you've tried to install the update

Expected Results

The update should install

Actual Results

Nothing seems to happen

Additional Notes

Due to the nature of this bug I have no way of testing if this is working on the latest version. The version I'm on and the one I was last able to reproduce this in is 1.39.4. This has been going on for quite a few versions now
