Is it intentional for some reason that MongoUrl/MongoUrlBuilder/ConnectionString don’t support/parse OperationTimeout? It’d be nice to be able to specify an operation timeout in a Web.config-stored connection string (e.g., “mongodb://localhost/admin/?operationTimeout=5”). |

Hi Matthew, We've decided to remove the OperationTimeout feature from the driver completely. See We are in a position where we don't see it's value and was causing certain issues with other implementations for when it was allowed to be ignored (think GridFS and large files that can't possibly be loaded in a possible time) as well as the fact that this is not a substitute for maxTimeMS. That's a good feature request. We'll absolutely take it into consideration. |
