 Description

I received this error when trying to add the Json.NET support to my project:

Could not install package 'MongoDB.Integrations.JsonDotNet 1.2.0'. You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETFramework,Version=v4.6.1', but the package does not contain any assembly references or content files that are compatible with that framework. For more information, contact the package author.

Please advise if this package was intended to be released for dotnetcore only.

We did some experimental work in this area, and that is the repo where we did that work.

We are still undecided whether to continue the work and release it publicly.

The package you found on nuget.org has the same name but was not uploaded to nuget.org by MongoDB, so we don't know anything about it.

But I found that package name in the MongoDB Repo here:

The package called MongoDB.Integrations.JsonDotNet on Nuget.org is not published by MongoDB.

You would have to contact the person who uploaded that package for any further information.
