The microbenchmarks have shown that Snappier is actually faster than the unmanaged implementation of Snappy we currently use. So the next step is setting up an integration benchmark which entails implementing an ICompressor backed by the Snappier library and benchmark a MongoDB workload against a local mongod and against a cluster in Atlas (probably M30 cluster). |
