Your Linq provider doesn't support projections as it always returns an IQueryable instance rather than a projected IQueryable instance. In other words, the following breaks: var myList = from u in mongoCollection.AsQueryable select new User { Name = u["Name"] }; The projection from a queryable list of documents into a queryable list of (in this case ) users is the problem. |

This has been fixed with the new Linq Provider. |
