I just hit this again on an AT&T-provided connection at a train station cafe. Silly enough, the server it resolves to serves a page over HTTP which informs the user "Web Page Blocked. Access to this site is blocked at the direction of the venue providing this service as a courtesy to guests and customers." Changing connectTimeoutMS for tests seems reasonable to me, as a longer-term fix. |

Does the same issue occur with the more traditional example.com/net/org non-resolvable names? |
