Allowing users to pass explicit causally consistent sessions to GridFS operations supports the use case of reading GridFS data from secondaries. Otherwise, reading from a secondary is susceptible to having read the files document before all chunks documents were replicated. |

The C++ driver does support explicit sessions in the mongocxx::gridfs::bucket API. |
