In the Atlas Free Tier, users are not allowed to read or write to any collection in the admin database. This is not documented in either of the following locations: https://docs.atlas.mongodb.com/create-new-cluster/#service-m0-free-tier-limitations I think it fits in better with the unsupported commands page. |
