 Description

shardkey values should specify that it can take the form "1" or "hashed" (and others if they exists).

Now you would have to spesifically go into the hashed shard key documentation to see that the shardkey value could take the form "hashed" instead of "1" for instance.

Although we do have https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/reference/command/shardCollection/#hashed-shard-keys section on that page, we should explicitly call out in the table in the "key" description to be a little more explicit and to call the section as well.
