Thank you for filing a ticket.

The repositories do exist - for example, you can find the 3.6 RPMS data here: https://repo.mongodb.org/yum/redhat/7Server/mongodb-org/3.6/x86_64/

However, if you are manually walking through our directory repositories you may run into a few issues in the short term. We're working on resolving that as soon as possible, and thank you for your patience.

The URL you copied in uses the $releasever keyword, which automatically resolves to the correct version of RedHat/CentOS you have installed. Your package manager should not have any difficulties retrieving the MongoDB 3.6.0 package. Please note that we only support RHEL and CentOS. You can see our OS compatibility table here

Regarding your question on the Amazon AMI version, we support Amazon Linux 2013.03 and newer via a single repo, which is why 2013.03 is in the URL and not $releasever or equivalent in repo configuration URL's in our Amazon Linux installation documentation

Also, relative to this, Amazon is out with a new version of "Amazon Linux AMI" VERSION="2017.09", but the old repodata for version "2013.03" still works:
https://repo.mongodb.org/yum/amazon/2013.03/mongodb-org/3.6/x86_64/repodata/

I had to use the old repodata, because the new one VERSION="2017.09" is not there at this time.

Version 3.6 does not exist in this directory: https://repo.mongodb.org/yum/redhat/7Server/mongodb-org/
