| Description |
|
on this page https://docs.atlas.mongodb.com/backup-cluster/ we discuss how to backup an Atlas cluster. We also note the free tier limitation:
We should, however, make sure that customers know that they can still backup their free tier cluster using mongodump. I think it would be sufficient to just link to the mongodump documentation – rather than letting customers believe they have no alternative/backup methods available to them. Thanks! |

This is ready for merge, but won't be until DOCSP-437 has been merged since this change links to the new page that was created for DOCSP-437.

"Automated Backup Service" works!

I'm nearly done with DOCSP-437 now and will add a link to the new page to the page in this ticket. That's why I hadn't actually assigned a reviewer to this PR yet. I'll be updating this one in about 15 minutes.

andrew.davidson DOCSP-437 covers documenting the Command Line Tools tab to an extent. We can also include instructions as a part of this ticket. benjamin.cefalo andrew.davidson, can we settle on "Fully Managed Backup Service" vs "Automated Backup Service" ? Current PR has the former.

I'd prefer 'Fully Managed Backup Service' personally. Thanks! |
