 Description

Spotfire Server is a Java application, based on Apache Tomcat servlet container. For Spotfire Server, secure connections would use the Java auth plugin, placed in the webapps/spotfire/lib directory of the Tomcat home directory. Use of the java auth plugin is triggered by specifying the proper authentication mechanism in the JDBC connection string

jdbc:mysql://127.0.0.1:3307?useSSL=false&authenticationPlugins=org.mongodb.mongosql.auth.plugin.MongoSqlAuthenticationPlugin

No update from Spotfire. We will revisit this when Seth gets some resources from them.

seth.payne Had a meeting with Tibco last week. We will have an instance/license to work with sometime in January. Not closing, leaving as blocked for now.

Unlikely to happen until November.

seth.payne 4/30, Seth will follow up

tony.sansone We have an opportunity with New Balance which would currently benefit from having instructions. It's reasonable to assume several potential users would also benefit from instructions as Spotfire is popuar in the midwest oil and gas industry.

Is a customer asking for this?

bryan.reinero: Need to ping dana.groce on licensing.
