LAST EXAMPLE IS WRONG..... UUID() doesn't generate random UUID. it requires one parameter . |

Hi, thank you for the additional information. I was able to reproduce your issue in Mongodb version 3.4.9 and 3.6.2 (rc6). Can you please provide us with your mongodb version by typing this into the mongo shell: db.version(); Thank you. |

I was able to get this to work against atlas. Cluster0-shard-0:PRIMARY> UUID() Can you please provide more information regarding the MongoDB environment you are working in? Thank you. |
