Note: these only affects shard replica sets. For v3.2 nodes, "--setParameter=recoverShardingState=false" should be passed as part of the parameter when starting up as stand alone. For v3.4 and newer, "--shardsvr" should be removed temporarily while running as stand alone. |

Triage comments: Need to add options as described above *when it's a shard replica set*. We'll need some sort of note to address that. As far as I could find, these are the docs where we restart stuff as standalone:
Changes need to go back as far as v3.2, so we may need to do multiple patches as the tutorials changed dramatically in v3.6 (there's much less restarting as a standalone as of that release). |
