Description

https://docs.opsmanager.mongodb.com/current/tutorial/provisioning-prep/#automation-agent-permissions currently lists:
"The Automation Agent must have permission:

  • To Read and Write the MongoDB data directories and log directories."

We should clarify this to mean that the automation agent must have permission to Read and Write all files directories used by the MongoDB processes: data directories, log directories, key files, pid file path, etc.

See HELP-7818 where an agent did not have permission for the pid file path.

Also affects Cloud Manager at https://docs.cloudmanager.mongodb.com/tutorial/provisioning-prep/.

I'm fine with closing this. We handled the root cause of HELP-7818 by ignoring the problematic property.
