DescriptionThe tutorial to convert a sharded cluster to a simple replica set is suggesting to extract all the data out through a mongos, then reimport the data. An alternative, which has far less downtime, is to drain and remove all shards, then point the applications to the remaining shard directly, instead of pointing to the mongos. Scope of changes
