| Description |
DescriptionOn https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/core/hashed-sharding/, there is a picture after the text "By using a hashed index on X, the distribution of inserts is similar to the following". The picture shows the document's x values distributed between shards the same as if range-based sharding were being used. This is incorrect. If we want to show ranges at all in the hashed example (which may not make any sense) it would have to be the range of the hashed value, not the original value.
