 Description

Description

A common (recommended) practice we (TS) tells customers to avoid performance issues related to chunk migrations is to pre-split newly created collections.  You can specify numInitialChunks but this option only applies to collections using a hashed shard key.  We have no examples of how this can be achieved for range-bases shard keys.
