Description

Thanks to joanna.cheng for spotting this one in a case recently. A customer wrote in with:

I'm trying to setup MMS but Im still a little confused after reading https://api.mongodb.com/mms/0.1/install.html

These are instructions for the (extremely old) Python MMS Agent and configuration instructions for munin-node. Both of these tools are no longer used by (the now renamed) Cloud Manager. If deletion is not possible or recommended, at least mark that these tools have been deprecated and provide a link to the current docs on Agent installation.

This is now resolved as part of other api work.

I suspect most folks hitting this page would be going for Cloud Manager, not Ops Manager, therefore I'd suggest the Cloud Manager docs.

Comment by Bernie Hackett [ 24/Jan/20 ]

Remove the mms content? Sure. Remove all of api.mognodb.com at the same time? No. We have nothing to replace it.

Thanks nathan.leniz.

peter.gravelle and behackett, the PR above removes all api.mongodb.com/mms content and adds redirects to the Ops Manager landing page https://docs.opsmanager.mongodb.com/current/

Does that work for you?

On it, we can kill this if there's nothing of historical worth we want to keep.

Hi behackett,

gilberto.hernandez suggested I reach out to you regarding api.mongodb.com.  Is it possible to decommission this site?

Cheers,
Jon
